The first ever outline for what could have been termed as the earliest form of software was conceptualized by Ada Lovelace in the year 1842 for the Analytical Engine. Claude Shannon, in one of his manuscripts titled “A Mathematical Theory of Communication (1916-2001) recorded an outline in regards to the implementation of Binary Logic for programming a computer. Binary Codes were used by early computer programmers to instruct the computer to store the data that was required. However, the process in itself was quite arduous. The programmers were required to feed information, flick switches and punch holes in cards and load them onto the computers mechanically.
